Cooper's Landing Inn & Traveler's Tavern - Clarksville, VA

Overall a very nice stay here. Except the very edge of town and a very quick walk to any eatery the town. However, you actually can eat right downstairs because there is a restaurant in there, depending on what days you are staying. The menu looked very well thought out and delicious. The building is lovely and the grounds as well. If you are staying in the nice weather you're able to sit on the front porch or on the back patio for a nice experience. The bed was a queen size in our room and it was made up with nice soft covers. There were three pillows for each of us, which is nice. We actually had a little suite that was the hallway with a bathroom to one side and the bedroom to the other side and a good sized closet straight ahead. The furnishings and decor were very charming and that added to my enjoyment of the place. The landing at the top of the stairs where we were situated had a refrigerator and coffee and soda and water movies and port wine very nice touch. Some minor things that could be improved upon; The heat was set a bit low for our comfort. When we woke up it was 65° in the room. However, we noticed an electric fireplace type device in the hallway and we were able to warm up with that. Also, we eere perplexed by how they had the bathroom towels in the hallway instead of in the bathroom. The walls were thin enough such that we actually heard our neighbor ask for husband to get her a towel as she was getting out of the shower. We thought that was pretty funny because I could relate to it. That brings me to the last small thing which is that we could hear a lot of things through the walls and floors. There was a lot of creaking going on in the middle of the night that kept waking me up. It wasn't all that loud, it's just something that I'm not used to, so disturbs my sleep. Otherwise it was nice and quiet.

The food was amazing. Their crab dip is hands down the best I have found. My steak was cooked to perfection. You can’t go wrong with a classic Cosmo, or one of their specialty martinis! As always, Terrill took great care of us while we were there!

If you’re thinking about it BOOK IT!!!! I went in the dead of winter, during a snowstorm with my boyfriend and we had the most amazing time. Not only is it fairly priced and really not expensive (which in this day and age is very important especially when traveling)The Romeo and Juliet room was so cozy, comfortable, very romantic, perfectly decorated, with wonderful service from the entire staff all around and I cannot emphasize enough how fantastic the food is!! Also worth mentioning the bed was so plush with so many pillows and soft, the comforter was so soft and warm which was very needed during the weather. I am a bit a bit particular when it comes to beds and being comfortable, comfortability is so well done here! Especially dinner, the cocktail menu was endless, the service was amazing, it was so sweet and overall a beautiful night. Unfortunately we didn’t get to them but there are also hot tubs on site I’d love to visit, wonderful ambiance throughout the whole experience, and it’s very well placed right on the outside of town and if you love thrift or antique stores or sew at all this is definitely a great weekend trip to go through! I can’t imagine how lovely this place is during the warmer months but will be coming back to find out!

They make you feel like family with all the special little attention to detail! Not to mention the food is outstanding and the rooms are beautiful and cozy

My wife and I absolutely love Cooper’s Landing Inn & Tavern in Clarksville, VA. It's adorable, welcoming, and everything you hope for in a classic bed-and-breakfast experience. The room was beautiful and cozy, making our stay truly special from start to finish. The breakfast and dinner were both amazing — easily some of the best meals we've had on any trip. The service was top-notch, and we really enjoyed the extra amenities like the hot tub and being close to a local brewery for some fun afternoons. We've already been back multiple times and can’t wait to return again. Cooper’s Landing is a perfect mix of charm, relaxation, and great hospitality — highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable getaway!

This Inn was amazing. From the time we entered the front door everyone was so friendly. We checked in with Ms. Terril. She showed us around the property and took us to our room. Each room has an electronic code to lock and unlock the doors. Great safety feature. The food was good. The plush robes were everything. I needed to take that with me. The place is a cute romantic getaway location. We will definitely be back. The owners were so sweet and very friendly.

We visited Cooper's Landing to celebrate our 10th anniversary and it was a fantastic experience. Food is fantastic and the Sunshine Cottage was wonderful even if the jets in the large tub in the bathroom did not work. The area is very relaxing and the downtown shops are just a short walk. Definitely will be coming back!

I recently visited this restaurant and had a fantastic experience. The highlight of the meal was definitely the crab dip — perfectly seasoned, creamy, and easily the best I’ve ever had. The bartender Terrill was also outstanding, mixing an excellent martini that was smooth, balanced, and made just right. Great food, great drinks, and great service. I’ll definitely be coming back!
